How to read a real COA

  • The batch number on the COA must match the vial label exactly.
  • It should name the testing lab and its accreditation (e.g. ISO 17025).
  • It should include an HPLC chromatogram for purity and quantity; identity confirmation by mass spectrometry (MS) is listed when that test was performed on the lot.
  • A generic or “typical” spec with no lot number is not batch-specific.
  • You should be able to verify it on the testing lab’s own server — not just a PDF.
